Breaking Dawn (2004)
$15.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Very captivating - has the ability to hold the viewer's attention from start to finish. High replay value - twist ending keeps the audience guessing even after the movie is done. "James Haven" (Don Wake) character is portrayed very well - acting is subtle, gripping and believable.
The Cons:Characters are somewhat unbelievable - "Dawn Wake" (Kelly Overton) and "Professor Simon" (Joe Morton) characters are over-acted/overly dramatic. Incessant amount of crying from "Dawn Wake" character may annoy some viewers - comes across as a weak attempt to showcase acting skill. Unexpected ending is surprising, but feels unfounded - feels as though the filmmakers ran out of ideas and simply inserted a confusing finish.
Written and directed by Mark Edwin Robinson, this taut psychological thriller tells the story of Eve (Kelly Overton), a medical student who becomes dangerously obsessed with the twisted mind of a madman (James Haven)--whose paranoid ravings may or may not be coming true.
