Devin Townsend - Ziltoid the Omniscient
$15.00
Released June, 2007
The Pros:Completely new style and approach from Devin. Catchy tunes, funny, exciting and hard rocking. Great production.
The Cons:Expensive merchandise. Factual errors, plot holes - poor compilation or scathing humorous take on space rock operas? Devin no longer tours.
Ziltoid the Omnicient is the 9th studio album by the Canadian artist Devin Townsend. Departing from his more serious works, the album revolves around a funny rock space opera about an interdimensional alien named Ziltoid.

Yale:
#devin_townsend_ziltoid_the_omniscient Amazing artist! Amazing album! Took me a while to get into Devin - his best works were the ones I couldn't stand. Terria, Ocean Machine, Ziltoid and even Physicist. There are problems with this album - scientific words used are often used out of context and incorrectly and the plot has large holes. I can't say these are cons, however. Simply put: this album is not a serious work - it's for fun, and these might have been included purposefully to parody more serious works in the genre.
