In Rainbows is Radiohead's 7th studio album coming 3 years after their previous album, Hail to the Thief. In Rainbows was a major break for the band as they decided to release the album digitally for free directly from their website.

You can also choose to pay the band for the album, although the price is up to you. For fans who want a hardcopy of their music, you can also purchase the discbox from the site, which includes the In Rainbows CD, 2 vinyl records, lyric booklets, as well as a bonus disc featuring 8 additional songs, artwork, and photos. The discbox retails for $80.

In Rainbows has caused a significant stir among the music industry as Radiohead is currently without a label and working independently. Their plan is to sign with a label in the weeks or months following the release of In Rainbows and release a traditional CD in early 2008.
