The Fragile

The Fragile, the fourth studio album by Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. Recorded over a period of two years, The Fragile continues the themes found on The Downward Spiral. Reznor described the album as, "Bleaker than Downward Spiral with a theme of things falling apart.

" The album relies far more on soundscapes, ambiant noise, and electronic beats than its predecessor. The resulting double album portrays the emotions Reznor was feeling at the time through the vivid medium of music, resulting in a powerful record that remains many NIN fans favorite recording.
